Louis Smith is the Founder and President of AmpedUp Fitness Group Inc., a personalized training experience that transforms bodies and minds.
Lou has years of personal training expertise as both an athlete and trainer. Before creating his unique AmpedUp training courses, Lou spent three years as a personal trainer at Push Sports Performance Training in Chicago. After Push Lou relocated AmpedUp to Number 1 Gym in the heart of Wrigleyville. He also has over 16 years of training in basketball. Specifically, Lou spent four years as a Division One basketball player at Loyola University in Chicago, before playing for the American Basketball Association (ABA) Chicago Rockstars.
Presently, Lou is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Sports & Fitness Association (ASFA) who offers personalized and small group training sessions that are tailored to clients individual needs and optimize the body’s response. His approach to personal training emphasizes functional training, cross training, kettlebell training, plyometrics, calisthenics and sports training, with each being integrated into every customized session. Lou also works with clients to structure personalized nutrition programs for ultimate results.
In AmpedUp, staying motivated is never a problem. The positive group environment, personalized and ever-changing workout routine, state of the art heart rate monitoring system and adrenaline pumping music keep clients energized through the final exercise. Each full body workout is created by the Founder of AmpedUp, in addition to the personalized nutrition regimen, help guests melt away calories and develop strength.
Each high-intensity workout is 50 minutes in length and are tailored to each small group. Each workout combines a number of aerobic and anaerobic training techniques that are easy to follow but push you to your limits. These workouts include combinations of:
